Neha Sargam was born in Patna on March 4, 1988. she comes from a very illustrious singer family and her maternal Grand father was Padmasree Pandit Siyaram Tiwari who was a great Dhrupad singer. Her mother is also a regular classical singer and teaches classical singing to Neha on a regular basis. Neha also wanted to become a singer form her early childhood and was regularly trained for the purpose.

Neha has done her graduation with Advertising and Marketing as major from Patna University and was interested in doing MBA, but the destiny had planned her career differently. As she was interested in becoming a singer since her childhood, she entered the auditions of Indian Idol 4 with a view to succeed but unfortunately she could not go to second round of her auditions due to a minor accident she got into and a sore throat she had developed. Her video for the auditions were uploaded on you tube and famous producer came across the video. At that time, Shahi was looking for a new face fro his coming serial Chand Chhupa Badal Mein. He offered her to audition for the role and she was selected ultimately for the role.

She performed as Nivedita in the serial Chand Chhupa Badal Mein and her performance was highly appreciated. She became a regular in TV acting after that and was seen as Sita in Ramayan on Zee TV opposite who acted as Ram. She also performed as Ishita in Haar Jjeet on NDTV Imagine, as Shruti in Yeh hai Ashiqui on Bindaas channel, again as Shruti in Confessions on V channel and as Aditi in Star Plus serial Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon. She also did a special appearance in Punar Vivaah and Pyar Tune Kya Kiya.
