Apart from the few general knowledge questions, the show mainly focused on quizzing contestants on their understanding of Islam religion. The contestants on the show were primarily students from degree college; contestants were also given three lifelines to use in case they were doubtful of their answer or wanted to skip the question.
Sawalon Ka Safar is a fun and interesting way to gain knowledge about Islam while watching contestants getting quizzed. Sawalon Ka Safar has three levels with five questions in each level; the difficulty level increases with every level; a contestant who answers all fifteen questions wins 5000 Pakistani rupees.
