Gulls and Guys was one of the most popular shows in Pakistan and was sponsored by John Player Gold Leaf.

The central theme of this show was an exploration of the world. They explored the European cities of countries like London, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Athens, and Egypt. After reaching there, they had to complete some tasks, and those tasks were:

1. To create and host their travelogs in two-part episodes.

2. To earn some money on their own.

3. To learn to cook the national or traditional food of their assigned country.

4. To learn to count from zero to ten and sing a song in the respective language of their countries.

The participants were graded based on their travelogs, the food they cooked, the counting of numerals, and the singing of a song in their native language live in the grand finale of the show. The participant with the most aggregate points was the winner of the show. The grand finale was held on 18 June 1999.
