Her parents had passed away in an accident when she was ten years old. Since then, she has lived with her grandparents. Kiran has two siblings, and she is the youngest. She has a sister, Sara, and a brother, Umar. Kiran, being the youngest, is spoilt and loved by all. She is immature and does not take anything seriously. She is irresponsible and gets scolded often for her behavior. Sara is a responsible girl, and Umar is responsible and good in his studies. Since Kiran has none of these qualities, everybody is concerned about her.

Kiran, however, is a very kind, humble, and grateful girl. She does not show this side to her family. She helps the poor people she meets on the road and uses up her pocket money. But her family thinks she is a spendthrift. After college, she meets with poor men whom she offers help in the shops to buy them food. These activities make her late as usual, and she gets scolded at home. But she never discloses the reason for her lateness. Kiran meets Daoud in her college. Daoud falls in love with Kiran at first sight. He plans to woo her. The audience is shown that Daoud is a bitter person. He is always angry at his parents, particularly his father. Daoud never talks to his family properly and never spends time with them. He clashes with his father daily. Everyone at his home is tired of his behavior. But when Daoud falls in love, he becomes a changed man. He has become a happy person and talks to everyone in a good way. His family notices his behavior and knows something is up, but they are happy for him.

Sara wants to marry Furkhan, who is her aunt’s son. Sara’s grandmother and Furkhan’s mother cannot tolerate each other. Furkhan and Sara love each other. Furkhan’s mother wants him to marry Sara because she will get a lot of property in Sara’s name. Sara’s grandmother knows this and does not want them to marry but cannot speak against Sara’s choice. Before marriage, Sara’s grandmother and Furkhan’s mother’s quarrels increase. It creates tension between the couples. Kiran accepts Daoud’s proposal. But destiny has other plans for them. Kiran has to leave Daoud and marry someone her grandmother chooses for her. Kiran has to make sacrifices unselfishly for her family’s happiness. When she comes across the opportunity of choosing Daoud, she chooses the other man to fulfill her duties towards her family.
