Dowry is one of the horrible things in our society. Even after getting an education, we fail to accept a human being as they are. The in-laws' family demands a huge dowry from the girl's family for marriage. This series shows how it affects people around us. Zeha is a simple-minded girl who doesn't have many dreams about the future. Her mother, Khalda, is a kind woman. She helps many people around her. When her sister, Farhat, lost her husband and suffered with her three sons, she helped her manage the family. Her support was much needed for the family to reach the stage at which they are now. Farhat is mean and greedy. She doesn't have gratitude towards her sister. They just wish for a heavy dowry. Zeba has an interest in her eldest son, Affan. Affan is a responsible man, but all he focuses on is money.

He only cares about wealth and works to gain it. Zeba wishes to marry him. Khalda understands her and requests Farhat for the marriage. But Farhat demands a huge dowry from her, forgetting her timely help. Meanwhile, Affan randomly meets Shehrayr during his work. Shehrayr is a rich but honest man. He is strongly against dowry. His daughter, Haniya, is a carefree woman who got spoiled by money. He observes Affan and feels proud of his efforts. So, he requests that he marry his daughter. Affan becomes confused. He thinks that this is a way to gain wealth. Farhat also insists on him doing so. She manipulates Khalda to marry Zeba to his second son, Hammad. Khalda agrees to it in the end. Hammad is a careless man who never works. Farhat's hope of getting a huge dowry from Haniya gets shattered after realising Shehrayr's nature. The nature of Farhat angers us. Sometimes we too can't understand the reason behind humans' greedy attitudes despite acquiring wealth.
