Arsalaan comes from an extremely wealthy and powerful family, but he is portrayed as a spoiled and wayward son who has squandered his privileges. Despite his family's objections, Arsalaan is forced into an arranged marriage with his cousin Seher to uphold tradition. However, Arsalaan's life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Mehak, a vulnerable and helpless young woman, under dramatic circumstances. The nature of how they meet and Mehak's background is not revealed, but their encounter sets the stage for a complicated romantic entanglement. On one hand, Arsalaan is expected to go through with his dutiful marriage to his cousin Seher, which his family has predetermined as part of maintaining their status and heritage.

On the other hand, he finds himself inexplicably drawn towards Mehak, whose very existence seems contrary to his life of opulence and societal conformity. This creates an inner turmoil within Arsalaan as he grapples with the choice between honoring his family's wishes through the arranged marriage or defying conventions to pursue his newfound connection with the helpless Mehak. Their polar opposite backgrounds only make this moral dilemma more intense. The story starts with wedding night, when Arsalaan goes missing, causing great distress and anger among the family members who are desperately searching for him. His new bride, whose name is revealed to be Seher, is left alone on the wedding night after her husband disappears without a trace. She is portrayed as a beautiful but helpless young woman, unsure of why her husband has abandoned her on such an important night. An uncle tries to locate Arsalaan by contacting his friends and searching places he may have gone, but to no avail. Seher is worried that her husband never really cared for her and only married her out of compulsion. She fears she has forcibly entered his life against his wishes. Meanwhile, Arsalaan was caught in a compromising position with another unknown girl by the police inspector. The inspector sees this as a serious crime and wants to arrest him. However, he tries to use his influential status to get away with the misconduct. He requests a lawyer and explores options to bribe his way out of trouble. His lawyer suggests letting this become a public scandal first before negotiating some sort of settlement by proving his innocence later. This would allow him to discreetly get out of the police custody first.

Back at the wedding venue, Seher breaks down while talking to her aunt, convinced that he never loved her. The aunt tries to reassure her that it's too early to make such judgments about her new marital relationship. In order to get out of the issue Arsalaan took mehak with him and abandoned her in the street. Mehak felt so lonely as she was alone the whole night in an unknown street. A sympathetic driver offers to shelter her for the night, sensing she is utterly alone and helpless after being abandoned. The excerpt captures the turbulent events of this fateful wedding night - the confusion, fears and unraveling of relationships in an affluent Muslim household. It sets up an intriguing family drama caught between tradition, power and evolving social values.
