It is a fresh approach by the Pakistani drama industry that draws out stories of women criticized and underestimated by society due to their natural body structure. It genuinely tries to show the trials faced by women who do not conform to a particular weight measure and are called overweight. Each episode reveals the journey of different women facing the primitive thought process of society head-on, refusing to be defined by their weight. The first episode starred Hajra Yameen and Syed Jibran in lead roles. Gul-e-Rana is a humorous, free-spirited MBA graduate who gets constantly criticized for her overweight. Gul is justly unapologetic about her way of living and does not care for the views of people. After the death of her father, she and her mother struggle to make ends meet due to no active source of income in the family. One day when their landlady demands long-due rent, Gul decides to do a job.
Gul's mother, a simple lady, conventional but unorthodox, hesitates to let Gul work due to societal norms, but eventually agrees. Gul aces the interview and gets a good marketing job in a plate manufacturing company. Her superior, Imran, an overconfident man, constantly ridicules her for her overweight; Gul rightly replies with witty answers. Soon, due to massive losses, the boss of Gul's company decides to terminate everyone in a meeting. Imran gets insulted due to his obsolete marketing ideas; Gul saves the day with her genius plans. Impressed with her, the boss promotes her and makes Imran her subordinate. When asked about where she got her ideas, Gul shares the credit with Imran. Gul’s generosity makes Imran realize his mistakes and he sincerely apologizes to her. He proposes to marry her, and the story ends on an accepting note.
