Mera Saya is an Urdu serial that is aired on Play TV. The lead character of Saaya is Sauleha, who leads a peaceful life with her husband, Rashid, and their two daughters. Another character in this series is Rashid’s mother, Ateeqa, who is a controlling mother, who constantly put pressure on Sauleha for a son, which puts their happiness in vain. When Sauleha gives birth to a boy, the story takes a turn when another couple in the hospital mistakenly switches the child for a girl. Ateeqa refused to accept a girl child and she seeks the dangerous way turns to black magic, which made Sauleha to become mentally ill and which even lead her to commit suicide. Despite after the death of Sauleha, her soul still roams around as a ghost, which wants to take, revenge on that her mother-in-law.Â
