The story revolves around two cousins Ambreen and Afsheen. Ambreen is portrayed as a young woman who is vibrant and full of life. She is very straightforward and likes to live life to the fullest.

She is not afraid to speak out her mind and often comes off as outspoken. This is also the reason why her family often tries to subdue and discipline her. Afsheen on the other hand is portrayed as a quiet and kind-hearted woman who is a bit subdued in nature. She is soft-spoken and well-disciplined and always abides by everything her family tells her. Afsheen and Ambreen are both polar opposites in nature. However, this does not affect their bond as cousins and they always promise to stick by each other in all circumstances and through thick and thin. Afsheen is shown to be in love with their neighbour, a man named Arham.

Arham lives with his family which consists of his mother Surya Begam and his sister Seema. Moonis is introduced later in the serial as a potential groom for Seema. Moonis also happens to be a good friend of Arham. However, everything takes a turn for the worse when Moonis falls in love with Ambreen. Ambreen is reluctant about the whole relationship because of the harm it could possibly bring to Afsheen and Arham’s relationship and Moonis was supposed to get married to Seema.

Meanwhile, Afsheen and Arham’s relationship deteriorates because of several misunderstandings and loss of trust in each other. When Surya Begam finds out about Moonis and Ambreen, she decides to get rid of both Ambreen and Afsheen for the good of the family. As Afsheen struggles to save her marital life, Ambreen is stuck with figuring out her relationship with Moonis. How both the cousins struggle to save their relationship and fight for love and acceptance is what constitutes the rest of the episodes.
