Mahi Aye Ga is a Pakistani serial in Urdu-Language that premiered on 6th July 2012 on Hum TV. The serial focuses on the life of the Akhtar family, which consists of a middle-aged couple, Akhtar Miyan and Fakhri Begum; they have three daughters, Mehreen, Shaheen, and Yasmin. The eldest daughter of the family is Mehreen, she's a responsible and family-centric person, whereas Shaheen, the middle child, is poles opposite her elder sister; she's careless and wants her life to be full of excitement. Yasmin, the youngest daughter of the Akhtar family, wants to follow the footsteps of Mehreen and be the responsible child; however, she's a rebel and short-tempered by nature.

Talking about their parents, Akhtar Miyan believes in astrology and learns that a guest at their house will change their lives for the best. Fakhri, on the other hand, doesn't believe in astrology, and is diligent about being a good wife and doesn't question her husband's faith. The story escalates when a paying guest, who is also referred to as Akhtar, visits Akhtar Miyan's house. Fakhri is reluctant of Akhtar, the paying guest, living under the same roof as them; however, she later agrees, looking at the prediction made by her husband's astrology.
