The Urdu serial premiered in the year 2007 under the ARY Digital Network. The serial has a touch of grandness and inflated production work. Moreover, Indian actress Kiron Kher played a supporting role as the heroine's mother, is her debut in the Pakistani Television industry. Besides, Azfar Rehman, the main lead of the serial, made his television debut in this drama. On the other hand, the serial starred many popular actors, including Madiha Iftikhar, Adnan Siddiqui, Ayesha Omar, Savera Nadeem, Saba Hameed, Asif Raza Mir, Ali Kazmi, Hassan Niazi, Farah Nadeem and many more.

Kaisa Yeh Junoon's story revolves around an independent and brave mother who is a professor at Cambridge University, London. She lives alongside her two daughters, starred by Ayesha Omar and Saavera Nadeem. The serial garnered a lot of attention as it addressed contemporary themes such as terrorism and religion beautifully.
