Directed by ‘ Asim Ali Asim Ali is a Pakistani drama and film director, a >> Read More... ’ and written by ‘Adeel Raza,’ the serial focuses on the story of a young woman named Saba and how her life takes unexpected turns on more than one occasion. The serial begins by showing Saba’s father to be terminally ill. Fearing that he might lose his life soon and that it might affect the future of his daughter, he decides and arranges the marriage of his daughter Saba with Sadiq, who happens to be his brother’s son.

Sadiq is portrayed to be a notorious man, involved in all sorts of wrong and evil activities. When he gets married to Saba, he makes her life a living hell to the point of him wanting to sell her off to some goons for taking revenge on Saba’s father. When Saba comes to know of this plan she feels frightened and decides to elope from the house. After facing several obstacles and hardships she manages to run away from the house but unfortunately meets with an accident. She receives help from another man named Eqaan Siddiqui who takes her to a hospital. However, when he asks for her name, she hesitates to reveal her real identity and opts for the name Mariam instead.

Things become worse for her when Sadiq threatens to take her away and out of fright of her husband she flees to Hyderabad with her mother. The city life in Hyderabad is new for Saba but she manages to get on with life. She, along with her mother, finds refuge at the house of one of their relative. However, she soon finds out that she is pregnant with Sadiq’s child. On the other hand, Eqaan’s mother is desperate for him to get married and asks him to do so. Fed up with his mother’s nagging he states that he would get married and get settled in four years.

Two years later Saba is shown to have a child named Mannal while Eqaan is still searching for her. However, Raqshi who loves Eqaan doesn’t want him to find the girl named Mariam and spies on him for his every move. She foils each and every plan of his to find Saba. Meanwhile, Sadiq gets in an accident and meets a woman named Shaila who he later starts to work for. They become close and Sadiq becomes a trusted companion and confidant for her, always eager to carry out her wrong deeds. Whether Eqaan finds Saba and manages to win her over and whether Sadiq and Shaila holds more depth constitutes the rest of the episodes.
