Ishq Hamari Galiyon Mein is a serial that is also known as "Yeh Galiyan Yeh Chaubara" that was broadcast on HUM TV. The television romantic soap opera was directed by Qazi Latif and written by Mustafa Hashmi. Consisting of only one season with a total of 101 episodes the serial was released on 12 August 2013 and continued up until 6 February 2014. The serial revolves around a family and the various norms of society that challenge the youth in their lives. The serial begins by showing Rashid who happens to be a narrow-minded individual. He is conservative and does not approve of women receiving education or working for themselves. He is a collected man with a stubborn personality and prejudices. Rashid has a small family consisting of his wife Amna and his two daughters Falak and Sitara. Despite her father's prejudices against women Falak is portrayed to be a young and determined woman who wishes to study and make a living. She is ambitious and wants to prove herself as a successful woman and make sure that her father learns that women can be just as successful as men and be their equal.

When Falak makes up her mind to receive education her mother Amna makes sure that her wish is granted and slowly but surely convinces Rashid to allow her the chance. When Rashid reluctantly agrees Falak starts her studies. For help, Falak ventures into the neighborhood and goes to a professor's house to seek tuition. It is here that she meets the professor's son Haroon. As they study together they both fall in love with each other gradually. After her studies, Rashid tries to arrange the marriage of Falak to another boy much to her dismay. Overwhelmed with emotions she shares this with Haroon. When Haroon comes to know of the whole situation and Rashid's temperament he decides to help Falak and convinces her to elope with him instead. Falak elopes from her own house with Haroon leaving her father enraged and disappointed. However, this is the start of her life outside of the cage that Rashid had put her in. How she learns more about life, how she overcomes the challenges thrown at her, and how she becomes successful in life along with maintaining her relationship with Haroon is what constitutes the rest of the episodes.
