This show focuses on themes like greed and jealousy, portraying those as parts of human nature. Yasir Hamdani lives perfectly happily with his wife Habiba and their three daughters. In the same house, lives Yasir’s brother along with his wife, Hasnah, and two daughters. Yasir Hamdani’s eldest daughter, Zara, falls in love with Shehryar, but Yasir doesn’t accept their match. So, for her father’s happiness, Zara agrees to marry her father’s friend’s son.

Shehryar is torn by the fact that Zara will be marrying someone else, so, on the night of Zara’s Mehndi celebration, he threatens her by attempting to commit suicide. Zara is shocked by this and abruptly leaves the festivities to stop Shehryar from taking away his life. Zara decides to run away from her home along with Shahryar. When everyone comes to know this, they are left shocked. This particular event sets the plot in action as every family member is shown to be worried about Zara and her safety. This also results in every character’s gradual development in the show. Problems of similar themes are further portrayed in ‘Chubhan.’
