Chingarian is a TV serial broadcast in PTV Home channel and it is in Urdu language. It is an Urdu drama serial which is a love story of a young couple named Hamza and Hijab. However, the family that the two characters belong to fights with each other as well, which forms a barrier to their relationship. Saira Begum, Hamza’s grandmother, seeks to appropriate a chunk of fertile land Shamroz, Hijab’s father, who wants to turn it into a road. Saira Begum understands this fact, which makes the two families engage in a nasty war over the piece of land, especially after the construction of the road. After Hamza returns to Pakistan for his studies in America he meets Hijab again and they fall in love.

Though, realizing that Saira Begum has set her up to achieve her aims of regaining the possession of the land Shamroz is even more disappointed in Afreen. This causes misunderstandings between the families, which is the central conflict in the play. The hatred between the two families escalates as the storyline progresses thus causing problems to Hamza and Hijab’s desired relationship. But due to the existing enmity between their families they having to meet their unfortunate fate that puts an end to their love. About love, family rivalry, and power ‘Chingarian’ makes the audience interested in the plot and the characters as they are rather diverse and the story twists are pretty sophisticated. They show how miscommunication is lethal to relationships and how selfishness leads to sorrow and loneliness.
