’ and directed by ‘Ahmad Kamran,’ the serial aired on 14th September 2018 and continued until 3rd May 2019 ending with a total of 33 episodes. The serial is set in the backdrop of a village and tells the story of a young woman named Meeru. Meeru is born and brought up in the village with very poor parents who are in debt of the landlord. However, the landlord is a rogue, ruthless and Meeru’s father fearing for her safety arranges for her to work in the household of a rich family as a maidservant.
Although, as she is born of a lower caste and the practices of slave mistreatment are still not eradicated, she suffers at the hands of her new employers as she is abused almost regularly. Things take a turn for her when her owner’s son SP Wali Ali Khan falls for her. Whether her life changes for the better or whether it gets even more complicated and whether it will make her life easier or create more obstacles in her path is what constitutes the rest of the episodes.
