It is hosted by pandit and mythological scholar Sri TKV Raghavan Panthulu. He narrates the Vishnu Purana, one of the Hindu Puranas, and explains the meaning of each verse. Vishnu Purana is one of the 18 Maha Puranas of the Hindu mythology. It was written by sage Veda Vyas. It narrates the story of the origin of the Universe, life on Earth, and death, with Lord Vishnu as the centre focus. The story consists of six parts and 126 chapters. The first part has 22 chapters, the second has 16, the third 18, the fourth 24, the fifth 38, and the sixth comprises of 8 chapters.

Each part focuses on different aspects of the Universe and life. The first part explains cosmology, the creation, and destruction of the universe. The second part explains the structure of the earth, the seven continents, and the oceans. The third part focuses on time, the concept of four eras (Yugas), Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapara Yuga, and the present one, Kali Yuga. It also talks about the four castes people have people categorised into, the Brahmans, the Kshatriyas, the Vaishyas, and the Shudras. The fourth part talks about the dynasties, the kings who were given the responsibility of their people. The fifth part is dedicated to Krishna.

It describes his whole life, how he was born to kill his evil tyrant uncle Kamsa, his childhood pranks, his wives, and his success in defeating Kamsa. The seventh part talks about liberation. It says that the present Kali Yuga is the most evil of all, with uncountable temptations and discretions. It also states that surrendering oneself to Vishnu is the only way to salvation. It also mentions that yoga is a form of praying to Lord Vishnu. It is a common belief among Hindus that reading or listening to the Mahapuranas would bring them salvation and true meaning to their lives. Through this show, the host enables people to acquire a sense of self and also let them know about the beauty of our history, which has witnessed great wonders.
