Start Music is a Telugu Language TV show that aired on the channel Star Maa from Monday to Wednesday at 11:30 am. It was hosted by the famous Telugu actress and anchor Jhaansi. Start music is a celebrity game show that is music themed. The show consists of a Dj, actor Ritesh, who is placed in a DJ booth. He takes care of the music. Two teams of celebrities, each usually consisting of three people, are invited. They are positioned on opposite podiums. Their entry involves a short dance performance which proceeds to them introducing themselves. The first round of the game is called ‘Sound party’ in which the music of a Telugu song is played, and whichever teams press the buzzer first gets to sing the song, thus receiving 10 points.

If they press the buzzer and answer wrong, the opposite team gets 10 points. At the end of the first round, one person from whichever team is leading will go to the lucky locker. The lucky locker is a secluded room into which sound from outside can’t enter. There are four podiums with buzzers on them. The podiums correspond to the amount of money the participant can win. The amounts are Rs. 0, Rs. 250, Rs. 2500, and Rs. 25,000. Whichever buzzer they press is the amount of money they win. The second round is called ‘What Amma what is this amma’. In this round, one team plays at a time. One person from the team puts on headphones to prevent them from being able to hear outside sound. The other members need to enact and help them identify a song being played in the background, without moving their lips.

One player from the opposite team acts as police to see to it that the players don’t move their lips. The winning team of the second round gets to go to the lucky locker, which now has prizes Rs. 0, Rs. 500, Rs. 5000, and Rs. 50,000. The third round is called ‘Sing zara’. This, again, is played by each team separately. One person from a team goes to the centre of the stage where the mike is set up. A song is played in the background, and the player has to sing along to it. A few words are skipped from the song, which should be filled by the player. The lucky locker for this round has cash prize Rs. 0, Rs. 100, Rs. 1000, and Rs. 1,00,000. Whoever wins the maximum amount of money wins the game.
