Jeevana Raagam is a Telugu serial telecasted in 1995 on DD Yadagiri channel, one of the channels which is operated by India's national broadcaster Doordarshan. Most Indian serials revolve around the family drama genre, but Jeevana Raagam is a musical genre based serial. This serial doesn't have a particular story, but contains songs connected with a specific situation, and those situations are inspired by real life to make this serial realistic. The celebrations that we do between birth and death, like the first anniversary after birth, marriage, and anniversaries by following Telugu culture are explained through songs and music.
Instead of writing dialogues between the characters, the director has chosen the songs to describe the situations. At the beginning of the episodes, an anchor briefly introduces the situation and after that, a melodious folk or cultural song takes charge of delivering the condition to the audience. The reason why the story generation is not creative but realistic is to create a natural bond between the serial and the audience, which makes the audience grasp the content that the director wants to deliver to the audience. Many situations in this serial relate to Telugu culture and ethics that help conserve our heritage culture.
