Zee Patalam is a Tamil language TV show that aired on the channel Zee Tamil. It premiered on television on 8 October 2019 on the occasion of Dussehra. The show was hosted by the famous Tamil anchors, Pappu and Alagappan. A majority of the TV channels have adopted the practice of bringing culture to television. They create different kinds of entertainment shows on the occasion of festivals. Television celebrities and movie actors are invited to perform different acts, enjoy themselves, and entertain the viewers. Zee Patalam is one such show. Zee Patalam featured the stars from two other popular shows of the channel, Dance Jodi Dance and Junior Superstars, a singing competition show. Participants of these two shows are brought together to have the Dussehra fun.
The stage is decorated to give it a festive look. Flower garlands are hanged everywhere, and balloons are set up in the corners. On either side of the stage are seats for the guests, who are divided into two teams. All of them dressed up in traditional attire. The fun enlisted singing, dancing, and satirical comedy. There was also a segment of a singing battle. A folk singer was also invited to give a special performance with his team. The dancer dressed up in costumes for different dance performances. Some tasks were given to the guests in the form of games to play together. In the last game, the anchors broke a few kiddy banks filled with coins, making them splatter across the stage. The team which collects the most coins wins. The show ended with them all crowding into the camera frame and wishing the viewers a happy Vijayadashami.
