Thiruthangaigal show airs on DD podhigai for an hour. The show is about transgender women. It is a talk show where the host interviews transgender women about the difficulties they have faced in life as well as the challenges that they have to go through to live an ordinary life.
Every episode features a new transgender woman achiever who has struggled to get to a respectable position in her life. Poets, Actresses, social workers, businesswomen and women from various professions and different walks of life feature on this show.
The show' purpose is to bring awareness to the people about transgender women and so that it is easier for them to receive the acceptance of society
