Kavari Maangal is a TV series aired on Jaya TV in 2012. It aired from Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm.

Sandhya, the wife of Balaji, is the eldest daughter-in-law of Venkatesh. Balaji’s brother, Vivek’s marriage, is fixed to Madhavi. Arun, Balaji’s youngest brother’s marriage is already fixed to Sandhya’s younger sister, Viji. The family decides to conduct these two marriages together. Vivek works in an office. His boss Chakrabani’s daughter, Gayathri, who was in love with Vivek, one-sided, tries to commit suicide after she hears Vivek’s marriage news. Her father saves her, and he speaks about her love to Vivek. Vivek replies that he was her good friend and doesn’t know if she loved him. As his marriage is already fixed, Vivek said that he couldn’t do anything, but suggested Chakrabani to discuss about this with this family.

Meanwhile, Madhavi is very happy about her marriage to Vivek, and she makes her friends envy about her, after showing her future husband’s photo to them. Chakrabani visits Venkatesh’s house with his daughter, Gayathri, and reveals the truth. When everyone is shocked to hear this, Sandhya asks Chakrabani to give them some time to finalize this matter. Soon, Sandhya and Balaji visit Madhavi’s house and explain the situation. Sandhya suggests Madhavi to marry Arun. But Madhavi denies that, as Arun is already in love with Viji. As Madhavi’s friends induce Madhavi to conclude that Sandhya is the decision-maker in the house, and even if she gets married to Arun, Madhavi can’t overtake Sandhya. This makes Madhavi develop enmity over Sandhya, and she decides to get married to Arun and take revenge on Sandhya.

Sandhya’s mother-in-law, Sharada, is shocked with her decision, as she likes Viji very much. She always wished to make Viji her youngest daughter-in-law. Sharada tried to convince everyone to bring Viji to their house, but her efforts went in vain. So, she decided to leave the house. After hearing her sister’s decision, Viji started hating Sandhya.
