Ek Dhaga Aamhi Tighi is an Indian serial that premiered in 2011 on Doordarshan Sahyadri. It is a Marathi language serial. Ek Dhaga Aamhi Tighi tells the tale of three women as they get through their daily life. The serial shows the perspective of women in three different situations, highlighting the quality of selflessness. Ek Dhaga Aamhi Tighi features Vidya, an independent woman and a mother of two children. She has left her husband to build her own home and live by her rules. Ratan Patil is a businessman who got fed up with Vidya's tantrums and left his two children with Vidya. Ravi is the older brother to his college going sister named Ranju. Vidya is a teacher by profession and lives by discipline.

Ranjuwants to follow in her mother's footsteps and be a professor for underprivileged and disabled kids. Ravi doesn't aspire to have a career and wanders with his friends and splurging money. While Ranju and Vidya don't talk to Ratan and have maintained distance from him, Ravi loves his father and secretly meets and talks to him. Ravi likes his father because he never says no to him. When Vidya declined Ravi’s request for extra money, she didn't give him money. Ravi texted his father and met him to ask for money. Ranju and Vidya are kept in the dark by Ravi. The story also features the tale of Naina and Sampada. At the same time, Naina is upset about her infertility. Sampada is constantly under pressure from her mother-in-law to give birth to a boy. Sampada and her husband thinks girls can be as strong and independent as boys; however, the mother-in-law doesn't understand this concept.

She believes only a man can take the generation ahead as a woman is married off to another house. Naina struggles with anxiety and depression whenever she sees kids playing near her neighborhood. Naina’s husband is unemployed, which causes her to stress about their future. Her husband plays with an adopted autistic boy and passes his time.
