Crash Landing on You is a South Korean television series. The show falls under the hugely popular genre of Romantic Comedy television shows. The show turns a simple premise into a very engaging and entertaining show. The story of the show follows Yoon Se-ri is a South Korean Chaebol heiress to the Queen’s group. But she is highly disliked by her family and eventually finds success by forming her own company which is called Se- ri’s choice. When suddenly the Queen’s group needs a new CEO due to some sudden circumstantial tilt, Se-ri’s father chooses her over her half brothers. But before taking oath as the CEO, Se-ri goes paragliding to promote a new product. It’s supposed to be a marketing gimmick but she gets caught in a storm and ends up landing in a village in North Korea.

She tries to flee the village without attracting unnecessary attention but is soon spotted by the patrolling team of Captain Ri Jeong- hyeok. She threatens to expose his team’s incompetency and he is compelled to give her shelter and protect her from any unnecessary attention. But somehow the villagers sniff her and now both of them have to pretend to be an engaged couple to save themselves. And from here onwards the story follows both the characters as they begin to fall for each other while trying to keep their affiliation a secret. The show is created under the banner of Studio Dragon and has been written by Park Ji-Eun. The show was distributed by the popular Korean channel TVN and later Netflix bought the international rights of the show.
