1. Gajra Kottary
An eminent script and screenplay writer, an acclaimed author, a prominent journalist, and what not, Gajra Kottary is indeed an aspiration for many. Born in Delhi, Gajra Kottary completed her schooling from Convent of Jesus and Mary, and she joined Lady Shri Ram College College for her higher studies. Her father laid her the foundation to become a writer. So she chose to pursue her post-graduate degree in Journalism from Indian Institute of Mass Communication. Gajra Kottary not only passed the exams with flying colors but also topped the batch by winning The Hindu Gold medal. But all the way along, she was more inclined to fictions and so Gajra Kottary wrote short stories and fiction works for several magazines. The audience went gaga about Arravya, given her lovely appearance and even more calm personality. Her fans have nicknamed her as ‘Barbie Sharma’ referring to her eyes, which shows similarity to that of Barbie’s.

Her first offer was to dance in the Holi song for a telefilm from where she started her acting and dancing career. This good actress has been in the industry since late 1990s. She worked as the lead role in the play “Jhansi ki Rani” which was aired on Zee TV. She did a serial “Neem ka Ped” which was first telecasted on Lucknow Doordarshan, but later it was aired on national channels. Due to her talent, Jaya’s career started to flourish and in no time she was receiving offers from many serials. She has been part of many famous soap serials like Kyunki saas bhi Kabhi bahu thi and Banoo Main Teri dulhan. Apart from television Jaya also worked in the movie industry where she has many small roles to her credit as well. She played the character of Paro’s friend in Devdas, a small cameo role in Fiza and Rang de Basanti.
Currently Jaya is doing the Sony’s show Bharay ka veer Putra where she is playing the role of Mahamanga. She believes not in just making money, but in doing strong roles. She has been in a serious relationship with her boyfriend for eight years and they have been living together.
5. Prachi Thakkar
Prachi Thakkar is basically an inactive and a very less known actress on the Indian television. There are very few dramas which she has done. She also appears with many gaps in the dramas. The last drama in which she worked was Kasauti Zindagi Ki, which was aired on Star Plus. Even in that serial, the role of Prachi was not among the main lead and therefore her acting and her role simply went unnoticed. It is due to the reason that, she appears very less on the television screen; her face is not much known by the viewers as well as the critics.

Born in 1941 in Pune, Maharashtra Sarita Joshi developed an interest in acting at an early age and by the age of seven she was a member of the New Laxmikant Company of Baroda. A famous member of various theatres across Maharashtra, she went on to act in the Indian National Theater. She has acted in over 150 plays in Marathi and Gujarati, several of them phenomenal successes, such as Balwant Ni Baby, which ran up to 500 shows. She made her television debut in 1980’s in the TV show Titliyan directed by Nadira Babbar, followed by Hasratein, Kuch Kook Hota Hai, the most popular being the show Baa Bahoo Aur Baby. Her Bollywood roles include Guru, as Abhishek Bachchan’s mother, Dasvidaniya, Gangoobai and Bollywood Beats.
Currently she is acting in the Star Plus show Chand Chupa Badal Mein, where she plays the role of a caring grandmother. Though she appears in many tele serials and films, her major love remains theater. Nothing exceeds the joy of acting in a theater, she says and she still remains an active participant in many theaters.
She is married to director Praveen Joshi, whom she met in the Indian National theater. She has two daughters Ketki Devi and Purbi Joshi, both of whom are renowned actresses in the television industry.

As you can see, she had been into a lot of TV serials already which just proves her skills in acting. Aside from that, she can also dance and she is a very down-to-earth type of person.

Neena Cheema is a highly experienced and well known TV actress. In a vast acting career, she has done a number of plays, TV serials and movies in both Hindi and Punjabi language. She starred in multiple Hindi television films and plays such as Wapasi and Aaghosh among others.
