Plot

Barin Bhowmik-er Byaram deals with a person who finds him down after he encounters a past character.

Bahurupiya is a psychological thriller where completely controversial characters meet.

Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa deals with an energetic person who has some issues in his health.

Spotlight deals with the popular celebs and the fans.

Star Performance

Ali Fazal has done an interesting role, and he is perfect with his performances. Kay Kay Menon is quite natural as always, and his performance is impressive too. Manoj Bajpai and Gajraj Rao join Raghuvir Yadav to make an interesting play to attract the audience.  Harshvardhan Kapoor, Radhika Madan, and Chandan Roy Sanyal played well in the given roles.

Analysis

The attractive stories from Satyajit Ray’s collection are picked up, and the directors altered it a bit according to the latest sensibilities. Yet, they didn’t touch the base and carried with it. The stars are properly selected and placed in the right roles. Srijit should have made Barin Bhowmik-er Byaram a bit more interesting. Harshvardhan’s AK and Radhika’s Didi are penned well. Satyajit Ray’s portrayal of the characters is neat, and the directors had taken them as it is. The cinematography and the BGM are neat.

Verdict

Although the stories are unique, the first story is lacking in its pace. Some thrills should have been interestingly made. With the neat direction and performances of the stars, the anthology series is watchable once.
