The show is based on the book Modi: Common Man's PM written by author Kishor Mukwana, which explores the life, struggles, and political journey of Narendra Damodardas Modi. The show beautifully portrays the fictionalized journey of Modi's rise from ground zero to becoming one of the most impactful figures in Indian politics. He became the prime minister of India even after coming from a poverty-stricken background. He has undoubtedly become a development-oriented leader.

Born on 17th September 1950, Modi has become a prominent figure whose life story teaches us that success is not related to caste system, neither your social background. The show begins in the year 1975. In the first episode, the Indian government declared a state of Emergency. While the citizens try to cope with this disastrous situation, Narendra Modi is also one such citizen going through the crises. The second episode shows how an impactful leader Modi was, even when he was a child. In this particular episode, young Narendra tries to convince his classmates to participate in the school's 26th January parade. As a child, it’s a huge step not only to be highly patriotic, but making those around you patriotic as well.

And young Modi played the part perfectly. When he becomes a little older, he again becomes an influential figure by urging his associates to take a stand against oppression. The third episode features parallel timelines, where Narendra, the student, is restless with his lot in life, while the political party worker is entrusted with an important task. One of the most exciting episodes of the web series is the fourth episode, where Narendra explores his spiritual and religious leanings through his conversation with ascetics. In this episode, he also forges ahead in an undercover game of cat-and-mouse. The episode shows his wit and intelligence and how Modi was never afraid to take a bold step. Later in the show, Narendra makes a good name for himself in the political arena, but like every other leader, his authentic leadership are put to test with devastating crisis. The show now jumps to the year 1967, when Narendra visits Kedarnath. His exciting trip to Kedarnath makes him come across sadhus, who are highly associated with drugs and fraud. Things take a huge twist in the show when, Swami Vishveshwaranand, at the Ramakrishna Math in Calcutta suggests him to return home to discover the journey of his soul. In one of the later episodes, Balasaheb Deoras commands the 35-year-old Narendra Modi to join the Bhartiya Janta Party. What will happen next? How does Narendra’s life change from this point onwards?
