“Dance India Dance Super Moms” (DID Super Moms) was one of the new kind of dance reality show taken from previous versions of ‘Dance India Dance’ show which had a connection with not the younger generation but with the mothers. It was a platform for mothers to showcase their talent of dancing skill on Zee TV. The show was hosted in 2013 and 2015 respectively on Zee TV. In the year of 2013, a housewife from Kolkata Mithu Chowdhury had won the grand finale. Cecille Rodrigues was the 1st runner-up in the finale.

The second season was aired in 2015. Dance India Dance super moms was a show that encouraged the homemakers and the moms who aspire to be future dance icons and are talented in any dance forms to portray their talent in front of the most talented judges. The first season of Dance India Dance was launched on 2013. The show was broadcast on the Zee TV network and had 2 episodes a week of one hour each.

The show was judged by the leading actor Mithun Chakraborty who is popularly known as “Dance Master” on the sets of the reality show. The Dance India Dance super mom saw immense talent from the moms all over the nation. The super moms portrayed various dance forms that were brought to the television screen by the various participants. Mithu Chowdhury from Kolkata was crowned the winner of the Dance India Dance Super Moms Season 1. Cecille Rodrigues from Goa was awarded the first runner-up followed by Shraddha Shah Raj from Surat who received the award for being the second runner-up. The winner Mithu Chakraborty was awarded the grand trophy of the show and also rewarded with a prize money of ten lacs rupees. The first runner-up received a sum of five lac rupees and the rest contestants were given one lac each. The Dance INDIA Dance Super Moms Season One was very well accepted by the Indian Audiences and hence it made a comeback in the year 2015 in the month of March.

The second season featured numerous talented contestants and was judged by the lady dance icon Geeta Kapoor, leading Film actor Govinda and the youth dance sensation Terrence Lewis. Harpreet Khatr was declared the winner of the second season. The winner bagged various rewards and a contract from Zee Television. The third season of Dance India Dance Super Moms is all set to roll on to the television screens in the year 2017. The show has a unique format and concept.

Auditions are held all over India in various states and cities in popular landmarks. The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their dancing talents and then all the short-listed candidates from the nation come together on the Mega audition that is held in the sets of Dance India Dance. The show has a scheme of elimination and the judges’ scores and the votes of the Indian audiences is taken into account. The show was a great attempt to recognize the hidden talents in women who have given up on their passion of dancing after being a mother. The show was a great platform and definitely touched millions of hearts.
