. The story is about two kids who were best friends. Arpita was pregnant with a girl and prayed Lord Durge to give her a strong baby, and a friend for her little girl who would protect her. Her husband wanted to sell Arpita for money, and contacts Chanda, a brothel worker, for it. Later Arpita goes into labor and gives birth to a baby girl. Chanda takes the baby to her son Shantanu, who then names her Puchki.
Five years later, Shantanu, and Puchki are best friends. Puchki is fond of wearing makeup, and dancing which her mother is not comfortable of. On the other hand, Chanda puts Shantanu up for adoption, and he is adopted by Nivedita. Arpita’s health was deteriorating, and Puchki was getting trained to get into brothel business. A lot of twists and turns occur, Arpita dies, Nivedita comes to know the fact that Shantanu was Arindam’s illegitimate son, so she distances herself from him, and gives birth to a baby boy. This boy was then considered the heir of Mazumdar family. The story is still airing and receiving love from the audience.
