Shershah Suri is a Hindi-language televised show on DD National. The show was a narration of the life of the Afghani emperor, Shershah Suri. It was a means to reminisce his historical origin, philosophy, and strategy to overpower the Mughal empire to establish his reign. He was the founder of the Suri empire in India. The cinematic depiction of his rise to the throne despite being from a mere humble background was impressive, and people loved every bit of the series. Shershah Suri is one of those old-school gems amongst the Doordarshan televised shows that deserve a rerun just for the brilliant character portrayal and the retelling of the life of a historical giant.
