A rather revolutionary show, All About Section 377 was an eight-episode web series that premiered on 27 March 2016. The show took it’s name directly from section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which was was a backward law that criminalized homosexuality. A Creative Gypsy and Weirdoze production, the series aimed at confronting and breaking down the various stereotypes and prejudices that revolved around homosexual relationships in India.  The show highlighted the joys, struggles, and sorrows in the lives of a gay couple, interestingly shown from the perspective of a heterosexual homophobic man.

, Surabhi Raut and Fiza Aziz,  as well as it’s Director Amit Khanna, who made his acting debut in the show. The story begins with a guy named Suresh, who moved to Mumbai from Delhi to fulfill his acting ambitions. He moved in with his cousin Rohit who was an established photographer. However, to Suresh’s surprise, he discovered that his cousin was gay and lived with his model boyfriend Siddharth. The majority of the story takes place inside the apartment, which creates backdrop for a kind of situational comedy.
One gets to see how Suresh slowly learns how to live with a gay couple and even begins to understand their way of life. We get to see a change, in attitude from episode 5 onwards when in an instance, Suresh stood up for and defended his cousin in front of those who were making fun of him. The script and the characters used humor and light- hearted comedy to communicate to its audience an important message regarding the struggles of the LGBT community.
