Premiering on 19th November 2022 and airing on MTV India, Nishedh season 2 is the second season of an Indian television series which happened to be the remake of an African TV series named Shuga.  A multi-camera shot show, consisting of a total of ten episodes, it was produced under the Victor Tango Entertainment Pvt. The show aimed to deliver to its audience episodes filled with romance, drama, and profound underlying messages and lessons. It aimed to reach a vast viewership of young audiences, empower them and prompt them to make informed choices and think about thought-provoking concepts. To communicate its message of breaking down taboos, the show follows the lives of the fictional characters of a disruptive filmmaker, an influencer on the run, and a married couple facing an unplanned pregnancy to figure out their ways through life through a series of difficult choices. It is set around the fictional town of Premnagar. It deals with and raises important issues such as contraception and, the use of abortion when necessary and normalises such topics which are generally considered taboo in society.
