Karm Yuddh is the story of a wealthy and influential family in Kolkata who will stop at nothing to get what they want. There is discord within the family, and when you have a family like this, who needs enemies? The story of Karma Yuddh plays around politics as much as it revolves around with romantic lives of the youngest members of the Roys. It explores the life and functioning of the Roy family. The series begins with a fire that destroys the industrial lands of Roy Industries in Kolkata, leading to events that expose brutal secrets about family members and their relationships under circumstances of power grabs.

The first episode is about introducing the characters after a gang of men kills another group of men sitting in a factory and then sets them on fire, the honcho Chief Bhisham Roy under surveillance. With the fire having killed several innocent people and no one claiming responsibility, the show takes on various twists while providing audiences with background stories about how the revenge dynamic emerged in the first place. With two potential headliners for the industrial group vying, the ambitions culminate in crime and backstabbing. The show's narrative revolves around Indrani Roy, who struggles to become the boss of industries after her husband, Vardhaan Roy. Her biggest obstacle is not only her brother-in-law Bhisham Roy but her one-son stalker Abhimanyu Roy, who doesn't make it easy for her. Enter Samay Shastri enters Roys's life to get revenge on him and his father, Guru Shasti, in the name of murdering his brother.

This drama is not just a revenge drama. It also serves as a love story where Abhimanyu Roy pursues a girl and even molests her, making her eventually fall in love with him. Still, that angle doesn't work out much because of his drag and the fact that the audience is way beyond romantically nagging onscreen. The scenes don't go well, especially when he forcefully wins over the girl despite being her attacker.
