The show follows the story of carefree Akki, a nine-year-old boy who lives in the idyllic town of Churangarah. Akki’s parents are Healthcare workers and are constantly travelling; hence he lives with his Daddu. Akki has a chilled and relaxed outlook towards life as he continually bunks boring classes and evades his bully neighbours Rocky, Tidda, and Tiddi. Akki loves his roller skates and rarely roams without them. One day Akki finds a magical Obi belt in his Daddu’s closet, and his life completely transforms. Akki turns into a superhero named JaanBaaz after uttering the magical mantra “Karate Power Up” Jaan Baaz, who has super strength and super agility, is Akki’s alter ego, and only his Daddu is aware of this secret. JaanBaaz is a karate master with a red mask that hides his real identity, and along with his Yoyo, JaanBaaz tackles whatever problem arises in Churangarah.
Akki enjoys many adventures along with his two best friends, Speedu and Pari, who are also unaware of his alternate persona. The series also features a slew of side characters like the wannabe brave cop Sher Singh with whom he thwarts away all the evil plans of the main antagonist of the series Gaki. Gaki sends new villains in every episode to defeat JaanBaaz be it swashbuckling rockstar Kanpura or Chamku. Whenever Akki struggles in defeating these villains, he tries recalling the teachings that his Daddu has imparted on him and ends the menace of these characters who are controlled by Gaki. The series follows the everyday struggles of Akki as he tries to balance his superhero duties along with his daily responsibilities and duties and maintain his relationships with his friends and the people around him.
