1. Lalita Babar

Lalita Babar is a well-known Indian long runner Athlete. She was born on 2 June 1989 in Mohi, Satara, Maharashtra. She is from a farmer’s family. At a young age, Lalita started her career as a long-distance runner. She became the hat trick winner of the Mumbai Marathon in 2014. After winning the marathon, Lalita upgraded to the 3000m steeplechase and won the bronze medal at 9:35.37 in the 2014 Asian Games in South Korea. In the 2015 Asian Championship, she won the gold medal clocking 9:34.13. She keeps breaking her records by clocking 9:27.86 in the 2015 World Championship in Beijing. In 2016, she made the national record by clocking 9:27.09  at the Federation Cup National Athletics Championships.

4. Smriti Mandhana

Smriti Mandhana’s full name is Smriti Shriniwas Mandhana. She is an amazing Indian Cricketer and plays for Women’s National Team. She was named the best Women’s International Cricketer by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), in June 2018. Mandhana was born to Smita and Shrinivas Mandhana on 18 July 1996 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She was just two when her family moved to Madhavnagar, Sangli, Maharashtra. She completed her schooling from there. She was inspired by both her father and brother, Sharavan to play Cricket. Her brother played Cricket at the district level for Sangli. He also played the State level tournament as well in the Under-16 tournament. It motivated her to take up a career in Cricket. She was nine when she got selected in Maharashtra’s Under-15 team and got picked for Maharashtra Under-19 team at the age of eleven.

P.V. Sindhu is an Indian badminton player. Her full name is Pusarla Venkata Sindhu. Sindhu is one of the only two Indian badminton players who has won an Olympic medal. Only two sportspeople have won an Olympic medal for India, the first one is Saina Nehwal, while P.V. Sindhu is the second. She is also the first woman to get Silver for India in Olympics. Sindu made the nation proud in the Commonwealth Games 2018 and won silver.

Anil Kumble is a former cricketer who played for Indian team and he was also the team captain. Anil Kumble was born on 17th October 1970 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. His parents are Saroja and Krishna Swamy. His brother's name is Dinesh Kumble. He took his primary education from Holy Saint English School. He attended National College, Basavanagudi for his junior college years and completed his graduation in B.E in Mechanical Engineering from Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Engineering College. His nickname 'Jumbo' is kept by his speedy deliveries he bowls and also because of his foot size. Kumble started playing cricket at the age of 13; he joined the cricket academy Young Cricketers in Bangalore. On 30th November 1989 he played his debut first- class game from Karnataka against Hyderabad; he took four wickets in the match. He was then selected for U-19 India against Pakistan; he scored 113 and 76 in two tests respectively. He was selected in the national squad; he played his first ODI against Sri Lanka in Austral-Asia Cup at Sharjah on 25th April 1990 and made his Test debut against England the same year and picked up three wickets in the first innings. He further proved himself and made a mark as a genuine spinner during India's tour to South Africa in 1992. In the four test match series, he took 18 wickets at an average of 25.94 with the economy rate of 1.84. Kumble took 50 wickets in 10 matches, fastest by any Indian till Ravichandran Ashwin broke the record achieving it in 9 matches.
