Meri Mrs Chanchala is an Indian comedy serial that originally aired on DD Metro channel from 2000-2001 during its prime time slot with the approximate runtime of 20 minutes and was later broadcasted on the Indian entertainment channel Star Plus from July 28, 2008, onwards.
The show was produced by Neela Telefilms and written by Raja Oderdra and
Sonu Nigam. The title track of the show “Chanchala o Chanchala”... was also sung by Sonu Nigam.
Initially, the show aired on the primetime block of DD Metro known as Metro Gold or Channel 9 ( A joint venture of both DD Metro and Nine gold HFCL-Nine broadcasting India). After Metro Gold channel went off air due to some sort of disagreement between the channel authorities, Indian entertainment channel Star Plus bought its broadcasting rights.
The show “Meri Mrs Chanchala” connected instantly with the audiences for its humour filled content while portraying the knitty gritties of the lifestyle of the wealthy class.

Sushmita Mukherjee and her husband Mr Shrikant, essayed by actor Kanwaljieet Singh.
Mrs. Chanchala is a wealthy housewife who in desperation to come out of her day to day monotonous lifestyle and occasional boredom indulges herself in various activities or sometimes on certain expensive objects or things that look's fancy for her. And, in course of pursuing her unrealistic fancies she often leaves her husband, Shrikant irritated, disturbed, frustrated and upset.
The episodes of the show generally revolved around Mrs. Chanchala’s persuasion of her unrealistic fancies which often led her husband and people around her including Mrs. Chanchala herself in trouble , awkward and humorous situations. This sitcom managed to gain good TRP’s and was a hit among the audiences.
