Mahasangram is a drama serial that premiered in 2000 on Doordarshan Sahyadri. The serial presents a reality check on our lives in an Indian society. It brings to the viewers different perspectives towards life through the eyes of the rich and poor. Mahasangram has various characters which are going through the battle of survival amongst. The rich gets richer, while the poor stay poor and a middle-class person hustles through the routine. The serial begins by introducing the various characters and their background. Mandar, a well-settled and successful business never realises the importance of his wife and the peace that he can’t buy with money. Mandar’s wife finds it difficult to establish her identity apart from being someone’s wife and mother.
Raghav, Mandar’s childhood friend is opposite of him as he looks forward to work in social service. In contrast, Raghav and his wife Uma fight another battle at their home. There are a couple other characters who teach the viewers a lesson to be happy in what they already have. Mahasangram is a Marathi-language drama serial.
