The story is written by Manish Sen. It features a female protagonist, Damayanti, who’s a detective. Damayanti is an extremely intelligent young woman, who is also married to her husband Samaresh. Her passion is to solve psychological mysteries, which she does wonderfully. In the series, she moves to Santiniketan for a vacation but finds unusual mishappenings in the Roy family and so she begins her investigation. Shiben, her husband’s friend and a police officer, helps her to decode  the scene. 

The show aims to present women's empowerment through the bold female protagonist, Damayanti. Not only does she manage to handle the household, but she is also a history professor, married, and solves crimes!!! Damayanti is the perfect combination of beauty and brains!! What happens when she solves the crime? Is she able to do so? The rest of the story deals with it.
