Raaj Shandilyaa Announces The Verdict 498A

Despite the setback received through Vicky Vidya ka Woh Wala Video, Raaj Shandilyaa is far from disappointed.

The director has now announced a new project under his venture Kathavachak Films. The movie is named The Verdict 498A, which will be backed by Shandilyaa and co-producer Vimal Lahoti. The Verdict 498A will depict the courageous story of Deeptanshu Shukla, an aspiring technocrat from IIT Kanpur who was forced to become a lawyer after he was falsely implicated in a dowry case. He fought his own case, and emerged victorious against a system which wasn’t honest with him. The movie will depict the rampant misuse of Section 498A of the IPC, which is related to dowry crimes.

Alongside The Verdict, Raaj Shandilyaa is also intent on remaking Fouja, a National Award winning movie revolving around a differently abled man who aims to see his child in the armed forces, and how his son realizes the importance of his father’s aspirations.
