A Powerful Medium Called Cinema

The cinema industry is a distinguished industry. Several artists are introduced on a yearly basis, and each one of them is keen on proving their mettle. Nowadays, where the scenario is such that content is the king, it is clear that the filmmakers and actors should be diligent enough in providing the right type of films to the audiences. Here then non-complacency is the key word. When you are complacent, you tend to get a feeling of over-satisfaction with your achievements when you deliver successes. This applies even to the film industry. 

When one actor or actress delivers, say, three back-to-back hits, there is a possibility of developing a feeling of excessive satisfaction. He/she becomes quite unaware of the potential hiccups i.e.  the star develops a feeling that this success ratio will not change.  However, when they face a failure, they are not able to take it with level-headedness. Having said that, there are many actors who have tasted both successes and failures but are still active in the industry, just to prove their mettle. 

It’s always a tricky situation to accept that failure is also part and parcel of stardom. Once you pass through this stage, then you can be successful in any field, in this case, cinema.

The main idea behind this article is that the celebrities should not be excessively carried away by success nor completely bogged down by failure. He/she should know how to be level-headed. Nowadays, there is no need to be dejected that one’s work in the cine field is not appreciated since there are awards galore, and everyone is getting their due. In fact, the nominations itself is a relief for the artists. 

Sometimes things may not turn out as expected and even though the movie is excellent regarding acting and script it may not be a commercial success. This may be even due to the lack of promotion. So the need of the day is to be well-balanced in the face of success and failure. 

By the way, one should not be ignorant of the fact that when the actors and actresses have a larger than life image, there will be the natural tendency to expect more from them. So it becomes essential for the film fraternity to give quality cinema. After all, cinema has a great impact on the masses. And also, cinema is one of the very powerful mediums. Finally, it becomes a two-way process in which the audience, as well as the cine field, work together to attain the success of a film.
