Austenland was constructed on a book written by Shannon Hale. The protagonist Jane is obsessed with Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. She dreams of an Austenland life. She even has Darcy's (main lead of Pride and Prejudice) cardboard figure in her room. In all her relationships she hopes to find someone like Darcy and this irritates her boyfriends and she has never had a successful relation because of it. She put her hard earned money which she earned in her entire life to go to Austenland, where the novels of Jane Austen are recreated.
Jane couldn't afford the platinum package and instead got herself a copper package. In the copper package, she had to stay in the servant’s quarters and didn't get much of variety of clothes. Mrs.Wattlesbrook, the owner of Austenland disliked Jane and paid more attention to the wealthy guests. As Austen's characters in her novels get engaged by the end of the book, she wishes for the same ending after before her stay ends at Austenland. Let's see if she gets the ending she wishes for.
