Plot

A rivalry between two prominent political religious figures and several people caught between the two leads to various hijinks, conflicts, and fights. Why is there such a big rivalry, and what happens because of it? What happens to the people surrounding these figures, and how are their lives affected? Watch the movie and find out.

Analysis

Varma Vs Sharma is a chaotic film. Unfortunately, that chaos does not stem from a creative standpoint or an exciting story. It tries to incorporate as many tropes that are seen in Indian films that it loses its story and creativity. It is said to incorporate elements of satire in its comedy, but because of the subjective nature of humor, it is at best hit-or-miss. The film is also full of political, social, and religious discussions which are a constant throughout cinema, but whether or not it makes a good point depends on the viewer, and also how much the viewer takes out of it. It also looks at the lives of the people that are involved with these groups. Is it an accurate look at the political nature of religious leaders and prominent figures in South Indian cultures; it is a chaotic look, but its accuracy depends on how deep you are invested into these figures.

There may be some merit in the film that can be found if you are deeply invested in the genre, but other than that, it does not make for great casual viewing. If you are used to the fast paced and chaotic nature that comes with a comedic Telugu film then this is a film that will definitely be fun and an easy watch for you.
