Plot

Ram is an army officer who grew up as an orphan. He works in Madras Regiment in 1965. His service to the nation earns him huge popularity, and he starts receiving letters from people, and one of them is from Sita Mahalakshmi, who refers to him as her better half. Their letter communication makes them closer. Soon, Ram was sent to POK for a secret mission. But, he was made captive by the Pakistan army. Who revealed the secret mission to Pakistan and how was Ram caught? Was he able to get back? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

DQ had always given a natural performance, and in this film too, he has done justice to the given role. His body language and expressions are fantastic. Mrunal and DQ’s chemistry is fantastic, and they make a good on-screen pair. Rashmika has got a different role, and she has done her best. Sumanth is good in his special role. Prakash Raj, Vennela Kishore, Bhumika, and Murli Sharma have done their parts well.

Analysis

Though it is a sweet love story that had been told in Indian cinema for years, the way it was told is the major catching point. The leads are picked perfectly, and their chemistry attracts the audience. Some scenes are shot really well and made the audience glued to their seats. The visuals are beautiful, and the color tone is impressive. The music by Vishal Chandrasekhar is extraordinary. Though the first half is a bit slow, the second half compensates for it.

Verdict

The film has a breezy love story that carries a lot of love and some soft romance. DQ fans have got a lot of smiling moments in the film. If you are a fan of a soft romance story, Sita Ramam is a good watch!
