Plot
Dil Se revolves around Kalyan, an orphan who is in search of true love. He has already fallen in love twice but without much success. However, he is soon attracted to his friend Priya. Will Kalyan be third-time lucky?
Star Performances
They say that too many cooks spoil the broth. However, in the case of this movie, it is the reverse, courtesy of the co-directors Mankhal Veerendra and Ravi Kumar Sabbani, who have done justice to the subject.

The production design of this film is also outstanding. The film looks aesthetically attractive, courtesy of the brilliant set designs.
Analysis
A boy searches for true love. One girl falls for him, but the boy is confused between the girl and a new girl who enters his life. Haven't we heard this before?
This is practically every fifth movie in Indian cinema, especially in the genre of romance. So how is Dil Se different? Probably because the focus is more on friendship and the meaning of true love.
The movie has some uncanny similarities with K Kranti Madhav's flick 'World Famous Love', especially in the context of the concepts. However, 'Dil Se' achieved what the former intended to provide i.e. a sweet, innocent romantic tale.
Without resorting to either of the extremes, directors Mankhal Veerendra and Ravi Kumar Sabbani have shown that simple stories can be entertaining too. The dialogues are quirky and self-reflective, something not often witnessed in commercial potboilers.
There are minor flaws, but not so much that it spoils the overall experience. One of the best parts about this movie is that every character has relevance in the narrative, and nobody feels out of place here.
