Santhosh attended school at RSK Higher Secondary School and did his college from J. J. College of Engineering and Technology. Vetrimaaran is an Indian director and screenwriter in Tamil Film Industry. Born in Cuddalore, Vetrimaaran is from Ranipet, Vellore District, Tamilnadu. He was born to Dr. V. Chitravel who was a veterinary scientist and Megala Chitravel who was a well known Novelist. Vetrimaaran studied till his tenth grade in Ranipet. Later in 1994 he moved to Chennai to pursue English Literature from Loyola College. Vetrimaaran discontinued his Master's degree and showed interest in making a career in the film industry.
