Plot
Lawrence files a complaint with the police station that his wife Stella has gone missing. He visits the police station frequently to insist the police to find his wife soon. Meanwhile, the police get information regarding a woman’s dead body, which was washed ashore. The face and body parts are unidentifiable. When Lawrence is asked to identify her, he confirms that she is not his wife. Meanwhile, an anonymous call to the police station informs that Lawrence stages a drama after killing his wife. The police also suspected him, but they didn’t get any clue. But, the investigation moves to a different path, and the police could sense the Hawala case, women involved in prostitution, people who torture those women, arms making, orphanage, and Lara. Who is Lara? What’s her connection with Stella’s missing case? The rest of the story follows that.
Star Performance
Ashok did his part well in the limited screen presence. Anusreya excelled in the given role. Karthikesan’s performance is neat. The rest of the stars have done what was required of them.
Analysis
The film starts on an interesting note with a missing case. As the case moves, the story setting takes a different turn. The screenplay is quite decent and the stars have given their best. However, there are a few loopholes here and there. The director has taken enough and enough of cinematic liberty in Lara’s case. The songs are not impressive and the BGM could’ve been better. The way of storytelling is decent. The motive is genuine with enough suspense items, but there should’ve been some more grip and effectiveness to the story.
