Syed Abdagir Bio coming soon... >> Read More... produced this movie under the production company Yun Flicks. Syed Abdagir and Sneha Parthibaraja performed in lead character roles. Rajeshwari, Vanitha Sri, Sumithra, Karthika, and Venkatramanan acted in pivotal roles. The title of this movie is truly inspired by a Tamil feminist movie, Aval Appadithan, that was released in 1978. The director completed the shooting of this film within ten days in just one place. The brilliant cinematography was done by Vedha Selvam. Aravind Siddharth composed the harmonious and tuneful music for this film.

Plot

This movie revolves around a hustling woman, Manju, working as a private school teacher. She is full of self-awareness and likes helping others. Ram is Manju's husband, who runs a private business of his own with a bunch of employees. The couple have a lovely daughter who goes to school daily. Things fall apart when Manju must have to stay overnight due to her work pressure one day. Ram wandered here and there in search of Manju but couldn't find her. She then reaches her home the next day, early morning. Their family members keep on asking her many questions, but Manju seems casual and unworried. An ego dispute started between Manju and Ram after this controversy. What will happen next? The story proceeds with Manju's bold attitude.

Star Performance

Sneha Parthibaraja delivers her role with a bold aura and attitude. She nailed the character's facial expressions and body language. Abu Tahir delivered an excellent and convincing role as a short-temper husband. Rajeshwari, Vanitha Sri, Sumithra, Karthika, and Venkatramanan delivered their finest performances throughout the film.

Analysis

The director, Ra. Mu. Chidambaram directed Aval Appadithan 2 in an empowering way by infusing the concepts of feminism guarding culture, home, and children. Chidambaram directed the majority of this film unexpectedly within a single house. The whole shooting of this film ended in just fifteen days. The narrative addresses the protagonist's power of speaking and the impact it holds. The movie unflinchingly shows the most aggressive and painful moments and the mentality of the people in today's society. The remaining technical elements are overall satisfactory. There are many family emotional scenes that take place between the wife and the husband. Having a female lead who is an actual lawyer and has fought many battles to receive a certificate of caste denial is an inspiration and strength to the overall film. The director stated that the name Manju was inspired by the Tamil film Aval Appadithan of 1978, where the heroine's name is also Manju.

What’s there?

  • It is a family-oriented drama featuring feminism as a core concept.
  • Sneha Parthibaraja’s powerful and empowering performance
  • Ra. Mu. Chidambaram’s direction is overall impressive and astonishing.

What’s Not There?

  • The film could have been made better in some aspects.

Verdict

This film has been made to create awareness for youngsters about feminism and the narrow-minded mentality of society towards it. The brutal and emotional scenes of this movie are fascinating and nerve-racking for the viewers. The director fascinatingly crafted this film. It is worth watching the movie at least once. You can undoubtedly add this film to your list.
