Plot
“The Window” is a story of Lekh Kapoor, a struggling screenplay writer, who wants to break the mentality, that a screenplay is only successful if it has seven major plot points. They are- The back story, Catalyst, The big event, The mid-point, Crisis, Climax, and Resolution. One day he gets an assignment to rewrite a famous Telugu movie in Hindi for a producer named Sajid. Lekh has brimming with new ideas in his mind, but there is nobody who listen to him, he resolves to give them a chance himself. During that time Lekh try to find a way to separate his personal demons of anger, arrogance, and denial away from his work. The direction of his life dramatically changes when a mysterious girl becomes the object of his obsession. Who is this mysterious girl? Will Lekh be able to separate his personal demons from his work? Will he be able to rewrite the movie? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
The performance of the cast is great. Amit did an excellent job by showing the feeling of loneliness, anger, the feeling when you love someone and they cheat you, the feeling of regret. Preeti is successful in showing the feeling of love, and also give a message that, when you love someone then there should be no place of ego. The supporting cast delivers competent performances.
Analysis
If you are looking at some scenes of the film, it seems that this happens at our home too. Amit Kumar Vashisth’s portrayal of Lekh, characterized by his shabby appearance, aloof demeanor, and simmering rage, stands out as a highlight of the film.
