PLOT

Luck revolves around different characters that enter a competition completely based upon luck, Musa a local mafia is responsible for commencing this competition and calls the following people: Ram Mehra(Imran Khan), Ayesha(Shruthi Hassan), Major Jabbar Pratap Singh( Mithun Chakraborty When we talk about the few legends in the Indian f >> Read More... ) , Raghav Raghuvaran(Ravi Kishan) and Shortcut( Chitrashi Rawat Chitrashi Rawat hails from Dehradun Uttarakhand. S >> Read More... ) all of whom are undergoing worse situations in their lives. They meet up and are informed that there are series of games which they will have to play to survive and the winner would take it all home.This way Musa starts unraveling deadly games in front of them, which all of them have to survive. The participants undergo hell but still remain determined for the big win. While there are many accidents which engulfs Ayesha and Shortcut the remaining somehow cruise to the fitting finale where Raghav who eyes over Ayesha’s heart tries to finish off Ram, but is eventually killed. Now three of the participants that is Ram, Major and Ayesha remain to whom Musa endows 200 million Dollars. They say that it was Ram who made them win this much but Ram challenges Musa to a duel and they have face-off on a gunshot fight. Musa discovers both the guns but still gives one to Ram; he shoots him first into his heart but luck favours Ram again; as his heart is to his right side, thus he wins it all eventually. All the three participants go back to their homes happy with each of their dreams and hopes coming true after all.

ANALYSIS

This movie though has an interesting concept with a brilliant caststill pans out of the focus of interest. Imran Khan looks childish and does not acts like a wild ecstatic young man, Cinematography though is something worth watching in this movie. Shurthi Hassan reciprocates the same stale act as her co-star. Mithun looks good and promising but probably Sanjay Dutt lifts the whole movie on his experienced shoulders. The locations where scenes are shot are nice. Some raunchy songs are thrown in and you get “LUCKY”.

STAR PERFORMANCES

Sanjay Dutt of course! The “ Khalnayak Khalnayak is a Bengali TV serial on Deepto TV that >> Read More... ” of Bollywood effortlessly plays the role of a Mafia who makes money and arranges for hunger games kind of thing, He is brilliant with his serious but fantastic dialogue delivery. Mithun too looks promising as the Army man and does not goes too far in his role.
WHAT’S THERE?

Beautiful Locations that might make you happy temporarily.
A glimpse of “Hunger Games” in this movie whch is not that violent.
Movie-saving acts from Sanjay Dutt and Mithun.

WHAT’S NOT THERE?

Poor script.
Childish and immature acts from lead pair and other actors as well.
Connection between movie and audience is broken at times due to poor screenplay.

VERDICT

Consider yourself “LUCKY” if you can avoid this movie, though this movie could have been the other way round but still you should definitely not try your luck on this.
