INTRODUCTION:
Gavin O'Connor, the producer and director of the film, brings to the audience another heartwarming story revolving around sports. Unlike the fighters, this movie, though fictitious, bases itself on realistic attributes of human life.
PLOT:
Tommy, an ex-marine and the younger brother of former MMA fighter, Brendon, who is then a high school teacher, is recorded to have left Mad Dog Pete, a professional fighter, unconscious within a span of 60 seconds in a fight at the gym. On the other hand, Brendon is finding it hard to make ends meet for his wife and two daughters. He mortgaged his house to provide for one of his daughter's heart surgery. Both the brothers soon find out about the Mixed Martial Arts Tournament, wherein the winner is to take $5000000 (five million US dollars). Before the two brothers battle it out, their family history is revealed. To get away from the clutches of their alcoholic father, Paddy, Tommy ran away with their mother. However, Brendon stayed put because of his love affair with Tess (wife). This is why Tommy holds a grudge against him for years, and it doesn't seem to cease despite Brendon's justifications. What will happen when they are made to knock the other down?

’ too does this with much elegance. A drunkard father, a helpless mother and two young kids- sounds like the most identifiable family situation in many houses. Along with that, young love between Brendon and Tess, a dilemma between a family and a lover, adds to the intriguing storyline of the film. The fight scenes further make the viewers bite their nails and fill their hearts with distress, watching two brothers mercilessly injure each other.
WHAT’S THERE?
1. Very exquisite fight sequences.
2. Realistic family scenarios make the storyline very relatable for the audience.

1. Predictable second-half.
2. Very intense movie throughout, lacks the required amount of lightness.
